So much fun all in one place

We see a lot of bands and bowling while waiting for your band made it so much more fun. The staff was great! Other reviews said there weren't enough employees but there were plenty that night. The owner let us bowl for an extra half hour free since no one else was waiting for a lane. The sound was even high quality which was something I worried about in a bowling alley. And I'm glad to see there are still some duckpin lanes open!

Great fun with family and friends

Went to Plaza Bowl on New Year's Eve and had a blast! I'd never duckpin bowled before and it was so much fun. There was live music and glow in the dark lighting while you bowl. Prices were reasonable and the staff was super friendly. This place is so cool. Can't wait to go back!

Really unfriendly

I've been going to this alley since I was a kid since its the only duckpin alley in Richmond. I'd been stationed in Safwan (Iraq) for the past 3 years and coming back to Richmond was an uncomfortable surprise.

First off, there was a cover and all the charges for bowling had been greatly increased, which was fine because I had loved the place; I didn't mine paying for the service I'd been used to. There was a metal show that night, and me and my friends were having fun bowling-- until the guy working turned off our lane and when I asked him why, he eventually told me that he didn't want me or my kind there. I don't know if he hates military or if we'd done something to aggravate him, but he told me that "he was weeding out the people he didn't like." I felt his behavior was completely uncalled for. Despite loving this bowling alley as a kid, after being told that we weren't wanted there, I don't think I'll ever return.

It's a shame, this used to be an amazing place.

best place for fun

This place is great!!!!!!! Took a bunch of co-workers there and everyone had a blast. Could not have a better time anywhere. We are all going back about once a month for more fun.

best bowling alley in richmond

The bowlingfan guy that had a bad experince caused that on his own. I always take friends there and we have a great time. You cant beat the beer prices and the bowling is inexspensive also.The bowlingfan guy expected the owner to hold lanes for him while other people were wanting them, that in turn causes the bowling alley to loose money. If you go bowling there you will have a great time. The owner is really nice and accomadating to everyone except those that get attitudes.Bowlingfan should realize that you cant hold up the whole bowling just for him. I think this is a great place to go and have tons of fun.
