Best Live Music Club. The best live music in Richmond. The only place you can grab a beer, and watch live bands on stage plus even have room for dancing or moshing. Not to mention, they also have good pizza available all nite, which saves a trip out and about later. If your looking for good music, this is the place to be.

With downtown chic, this bar books new music for the River City.. The Scene
From national acts who open for headliners to every local band imaginable, Alley Katz hosts them all. While the stage is undersized for some of the bigger acts, there's plenty of room for patrons to spread out. A tasteful second floor, complete with oversized couches, feels more like a coffee lounge. Despite the second floor's creature comforts, this is a venue where you stand to watch the band. Be warned: On any given night, with L7, Jimmy's Chicken Shack or any number of national acts, the crowd is packed in like sardines.

The Draw
Live music averages three to four nights a week and on Wednesday nights look for Agents of Good Roots in a standing gig. With its alley locale, Alley Katz isn't noticeable from the street, so take a stroll down this one.

good people, good times. Alley Katz is high on my list of bars because of it's attraction of talented musicians and performers. I wouldn't go there for the "bar atmosphere" but definately for it's variety of musicians and talent.
