What to Expect
The second you step inside World of Mirth, you can expect to stay awhile. Ogle the gag gifts, play with the puppets, add to your collection of kitschy lunch boxes--if there were ever a "Romper Room" for big kids, this would surely be it. Keep an eye out for colorful stuffed fish that hang from the ceiling, and don't miss the flamboyant costumes lingering at the back of the store.
What to Buy
Cards, gifts, toys, costumes and more. The prices may inspire the typical Carytown sticker shock, but the sheer shopping pleasure will make you giddy.

What to say about this amazing place... I've shopped here since it was a teeny tiny store near VCU. This is what a toy store should be- helpful employees, great toys, and lots of space to play! The selection is unlike any you've ever seen- from infant to adult (not in the nasty adult way). You can literally find a gift for your baby and your grandma in one visit. They have unique clothes for babies and kids (some tees for adults). Good book selection, awesome puppets, crafts, games, dress up- you name it. There are things here you just won't find any place else. Funky, campy and soo much fun! If you come to Carytown you'd be crazy to not stop at World of Mirth.

dont walk out without reading all the hilarious magnets and things around the counter, watch out for the carytown price shock. really we may lose all of our carytown favorites shops because they are paying $21 a square foot rent and landlords are still jacking up the prices. the cheapest place i found when we thought about moving our store there was $3750 a month so support the little carytown businesses
