The Scene
This quaint, out-of-the-way dinner spot has been regarded a hidden treasure by many. The moderately priced entrees and local color make a night at Zeus a treat that is not likely to be too far out of your budget. The menu is constantly changing, which keeps regulars from getting bored.
The Food
A wide variety of meats and seafood is available, and there is usually at least one vegetarian dish on the menu. Be sure to get there early, though. Like many Fan and Carytown restaurants, the legend of the Zeus Gallery has brought West Enders and Southside residents far beyond their normal stomping grounds to sample the cuisine, and Zeus is outgrowing its small, one-room dining area. It might leave you feeling a bit cramped, but optimists will say it adds to the intimacy and creates a casual ambience.

We were really looking forward to this dining experience, but it turned out to be over a three hour meal with thirty minute waits between courses. The filet was undercooked, the servers were confused and uninterested, and even though we made reservations, we still had to wait over half an hour for a table. It was very frustrating, we will not return, and we want to warn people not to go there.
Pros: There might be potential
Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE = horrible experience

I highly recomend this quaint little bistro. I just moved into the fan disrict from the d.c. area and was told by neighbors that this was the place to go. they did mention that they had'nt been for awhile due to the "nasty service" but assured me that rumours said that the waitstaff was new, and the old servers had vacated the premise to open up a place called carsons. I was pleasantly surprised by the food as well as the knowledgable and attentive service. The thing I did not understand was the wine list, ( it was on a large chalkboard ) Luckily my server explained not to worry about it, she would guide me through the list based on my likes, and what I was having for dinner, and price range. (she also said that if I didn't like a bottle we chose, not to worry.) My husband and I had a lovely dinner, definately up to par with the D.C restaurants of which we are accustomed. They even had our favorite dessert, a molten lava cake. The cake and the night was done to perfection.
