BesT in ToWn!!! (NO QUESTIONS ASKED). I WENT INTO THIS PLACE ONE AFTERNOON AFTER HEARING WORD ON THE STREET THAT THIS PLACE WAS SUPER GOOD. SO I WENT IN TO TRY IT OUT AND WAS THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED ALL THE WAY. I GOT A MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER WITH BACON ADDED ON, SOME FRIES, A LITTLE SIDE OF CHILI, AND A ICE COLD NEWCASTLE. MAN, TALK ABOUT BEING THE PERFECT LUNCH OR DINNER. THE CREW THERE SEEMS PRETTY COOL TOO ALONG WITH THE MUSIC THEY GOT GOING. MY RECOMENDATION TO YOU IS GO THERE!!

With big, tasty patties and delicious shakes, this eatery is the Carytown burger scene..
The Scene
The building is nothing special, and the small upstairs is the only seating area inside. Arrive early enough on nice days to score one of the outside tables. The view of the surrounding plaza allows for excellent people-watching.
The Food
While Carytown Burgers isn't the most hi-tech operation in the world (they take orders on paper bags), they certainly know how to make ground beef sizzle. That goes for the veggie variety, too. The chicken sandwiches are delightful, healthier alternatives to the patty. Fries are not to be skipped. And remember to try the chocolate malt--the perfect post-patty dessert to cleanse your palate.

Still good but was better.
When this place opened there was quite a buzz about it. They had on the wall an article about how they opened after searching for a burger on Sunday and being unable to find a decent place open. Now they're CLOSED on Sundays.
Service is rude and the place is loud.
They've become what they tried to replace.

Great burgers!. ok, so it's not Lemaire... but if you just want a great burger and you're near Carytown, it can't be beat.

what?. The CB&F burger was pretty bland to me. Can't see it as best in town with Davis and Main, Rock Falls, Sidewalk and other serving much better.

Mmmm....yummy. Very, very good burgers. Great fries. And I have made the search for the best burger and fries a life's passion. This place is pretty darn near close to the best.
