Most of the items have little hangar appeal. So try it on! You will love it! The textures, feel, craftswoman ship and tailoring are top notch. Additionally, most everything is made in the USA but small independent woman. Its eco- friendly and fashion forward! I love this place!

NO RETURNS ACCEPTED. When they say no returns, they mean NO RETURNS, never, ever, period! Including when you purchase a defective piece of clothing. Sure, they'll offer to repair it. They'll even give you a store credit. But after you've walked out of there after dropping several hundred dollars on a couple of items, maybe you just want what you asked for in the first place: a refund. I don't want a defective/repaired item. If there was something else I wanted to buy, I would have done so. The defective item was useless to me for the event for which I purchased it. I can't understand why a refund is absolutely verboten in such an instance. A refund would have made for a happy customer. A happy customer is a returning customer. This customer is not happy....

Best clothing/jewelry/shoe store in Richmond. The owner/buyer of this store has fabulous imaginative taste and it is full of wonderful things that you can't find other places. I live in Manhattan and make a special trip to Richmond just to shop at the Phoenix and have K and the other sales people put outfits together that make people ask me over and over where I got them. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more interested in being helpful to just the right degree--not pushy. The shoes are from the hippest designers, the jewelry is unique and beautifully crafted, and the fabrics are to die for.

We love the Phoenix!. The Phoenix is a wonderful display of the owners pick of global fashion. With fine fabrics from around the world, it is almost impossible to leave without an item which makes you smile.

Each and every time a customer is greeted in the store, the Phoenix girls are happy to help find that special piece which fits your style.

Head down to The Phoenix!

I have been into this store and ignored countless times, but for the first time ever, I was kicked out. As I was browsing with my friend she took a phone call, so we intentionally moved to the back of the store to be less disruptive. We were back there a few minutes, about to conclude the conversation, when an employee came up to us and informed us that we needed to leave to keep the area clear for customers. And, I would have understood IF they were busy. However, aside from one woman in the dressing room, we were the only other customers in the store.

Honestly, I don't understand how this business survives in an already struggling economy. They seem to size people up as they enter the doors and treat them accordingly. Check out any of the other stores in Carytown, they have unique items and much friendlier employees.

Colorful, cool and worthy of a splurge.. What to Expect
Typical of other Carytown shops, Phoenix packs its inventory into a tiny building. The flip side of this is that there's plenty to choose from--you'll find casual to dressy women's clothing from top-notch designers.

Who Shops
Phoenix caters to older, distinguished women who love quality clothing. This is where you'll see a unique clientele of socialites and old Richmond money--although the occasional Carytown tourist is welcome to wander in and indulge, as well.
