From its humble beginnings, this Main Street gallery has seen its stock rise..
Gotta Start Somewhere
In 1977, Beverly Reynolds started her self-named gallery in her home. Since then the gallery has attracted exhibitions of world renowned artists and Richmond originals alike.
Street Cred
After hosting the controversial Sally Mann photography exhibit, Reynolds Gallery can't be accused of just being in it for the money. It's certainly one of the more successful cash-for-art ventures in the city but still maintains artistic credibility.
Gallery Vibe
A refurbished Fan rowhouse on Main houses the impressive works for sale. Two floors display some of the finest art from Richmond and beyond (New York and D.C. figure prominently).
Who's Buying?
Ethyl Corporation, SunTrust Bank, Dominion Resources, Hunton and Williams and the Federal Reserve Bank have all dressed up a wall in their offices with creations found at Reynolds.
About the Art
The gallery has featured national artists like Robert Rauschenberg, Claes Oldenberg and Isabel Bigelow. The upstairs gallery currently exhibits tables designed by national furniture artisans including Peter Handler, F.L. Wall and Andrew Christenberry.
