Another great spot for vegetarians, Panda Garden picks up where its smaller takeout location, China Panda leaves off. The extended family of restaurants includes a Southside location of China Panda, a Fan China Panda and Panda Garden on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University.

The Food
Situated on historic Grace Street, Panda Garden offers traditional Chinese favorites in both meat and mock-meat versions. The mock-chicken dishes in particular will fool even the most avid chicken lovers into thinking it's the real thing. More seating is available at Panda Garden than at China Panda, which makes it less of a takeout joint and more of a restaurant. Students will appreciate the reasonable prices; most dishes are around six or seven dollars. The friendly staff makes you feel at home and the delicious fried bananas for dessert will make you come back again and again.
