NOW CLOSED. This restaurant was one of our favorites! Note the word "was". They had a fire and it is now closed. The owner bought Dot's Back Inn in Northside. We haven't checked out the menu there yet, but I'm certain the food is excellent with Jimmy running the place.

I would go back. I was in Richmond for my girlfriend's family reunion. Her mom and us went to this place since I had downloaded it in the iPAQ. I found it to be very nice. They happened to have a band there that night who set up right next to our table. They were wonderful and gave us shout-outs. The food was good also. But the drinks were the bomb. I mean I totally was feeling the martini menu (60+). I cannot wait to go back.

Celebrating the wonderfully diverse cuisines of Cajun country.. The Scene
The void left by Gumbo Ya-Ya on this stretch of Main Street dotted with upscale eateries has been neatly filled by this popular restaurant that used to be in view of its rival.

The Food
The original location in Charlottesville carried many of the same spicy favorites like seafood gumbo and delicious crayfish that the Richmond location offers. Two floors provide ample room for seating groups and the extensive beer selection will curb the heat of the food.

French Quarter in Richmond. If you are hankering for some creole food, head to this place. Food is always very flavorful. Place is usually totally empty or packed. Very odd. Reasonably priced but a little noisey sometimes. Great place for friends, food and booze. Live entertainment on some nights as well.
