One of the best spots to grab a late dinner and have a beer. – The Scene
Main Street is in a period of revitalization that is drawing more and more people to its quaint eateries and quirky shops. The reasonable prices and casual but upscale decor are a welcome change from other local restaurants that skimp on the interior but still manage to charge hefty prices.
Traditional Greek favorites such as spinach pies and dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) keep regulars coming back again and again. The tables and booths are often filled with large families and groups, and the raucous laughter and spirited conversation add to the atmosphere. The standout dish at the Lighthouse has to be the penne a la vodka, which is the best I've ever tasted. The cream and tomato base with penne pasta and peas is a smooth and hearty entree that goes well with the warm, crusty bread that comes with every meal.
Take everyone you know! – We were more than pleased with everything. The service was prompt, warm and friendly without being solicitous. The ambiance was casaul but classy and the food was fabulous. The generous helping of broiled Sea Scallops were perfectly done and the Tilapia stuffed with crabmeat was excellent. We just can't say enough about the strawberry cheesecake made by the owner or his wife. It must be the best in the world! One of the best dining experiences ever. It was our first time, a special occasion and we had driven an hour to dine here. It was more that worth it!
Stuffed Grape Leaves!! – Their stuffed grape leaves are incredible! And the only place in a 50 mile radius that sells them. For a great place for Italian and Greek cuisine, and a knowledgeable staff the Lighthouse is the perfect place for an evening of friendly conversation.
Excellent Cusine – The Lighthouse is a excellent choice for dining in Richmond. By far the best cheescake I have ever had, and I don't even like cheesecake. The eggplant parm. is unmatched. All go to the lighthouse for a great atmosphere, great service and great food.
Good Food, Only 1 Complaint – Service was excellent, Food was good. My only complaint was that the price on the menu and the price charged on my check were different. This is fine as long as you let me know ahead of time.
