Great Greek food at a great price.. The Scene
The newer and somewhat more improved Stella's on Main Street inherited a loyal following from its old home on Harrison Street, across from the Village Cafe. Owner and operator Stella Dikos whips up her famous Greek dishes from this little restaurant, which is smaller than her last one. It's likely that with this newer location, Stella's will be able to catch some of the after-work crowd returning home from the city, as opposed to the financially challenged but fiercely loyal VCU population. For those VCU students who remember Stella's with fondness but have moved on since graduating and improving their financial situations, a homecoming of sorts is possible now that Stella's has grown up, too.

The Food
Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and spanakopita (spinach wrapped in phyllo dough) are just a couple of the old favorites that you'll find here. If you're visiting Stella's on the weekends or during peak hours, get there early or you may have trouble finding a seat.

Great!. That's the word. Coming from SF our standards were pretty high. This place trumped them! Great ambience, great food. A long wait on a weekend night, but obviously the secret is out. Try it.
