Very cool store, great vibe, will be back!. found the coolest guitar at this place. I was across the street for a theatrical meeting and decided to step in. The place was very well organized and had a rather swanky look that made me feel like I was walking into a more higher end music dealer. I prefer high quality gear and I was immediately impressed by the amount of musical stuff inside. The salesman was very knowledgeable about many vintage pieces and was very helpful in showing me a few older guitars (of which I purchased an older Gibson Hummingbird). I've been playing music all my life and have an extensive interest in guitars and amps in particular. This is the kind of store I like shopping in because it is independent and had some really good deals on stuff. I also was impressed that they offer a recording studio and rehearsal spaces too. I thought this was a unique idea that many stores could try to learn something from, I will definitely return when I am back in Richmond. Overall a nice experience, parking is a little tough.
The way a Music store should be!. I walked into Metro Sound and was immediately taken by the selection of instruments that hung on the wall. A man behind the counter was on the phone but said he would be with me in just a minute and to make myself at home and look around. I'm from New York so I am accustomed to seeing some amazing items but felt like I was back on 48th Street. I wanted to check out a Reverend guitar and they had about a dozen in stock. Also, although I'm more into electric guitars, there was an acoustic room that was filled with great mandolins, banjos, guitars and more. This is a very cool place, I will be back!
