Irish Nachos!!!! I have lived all over the country and I cannot find a place that compares!
Sine Irish Pub - Richmond, VA.
On a recent visit to Richmond a relative took us here for dinner. We had the Macaroni and cheese -- it was the best I have ever eaten. We will want to go the same place the next time we are in town. The Reuben was good but the Macaroni was awesome.
The beer list offers a good selection. Remember, you go to a PUB for beer and a sandwich!
To some who complained about the menu not being Irish enough, keep this in mind. Armerican's are not known for their diverse palate. Restaurants must prepare and serve a menu that makes enough profit to stay opened. Don't miss this place because of the nay-sayers -- you will want to eat there again.
It's yummy!. Very Irish!!! Great food and good music. The people are great too! Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally recommend!
Not the greatest around..... Went here one night with a group of friends for some drinks and a good time. They didn't offer most of the drinks you would find at a normal bar (um we dont have that...) and when I did manage to order something they could make (a maragrita) the glass was about 3in tall and 3in wide...it was about 3 sips worth...and cost me around $8! The menu is small and doesnt offer a lot of options and it is kind of pricey for what they offer. It was extremely crowded and parking is a pain in the rear...
Great place to go and have a drink and sandwich!. We just moved to Richmond 3 months ago and have savaged the resturant arena! We love Sine! We ate there the first night we moved here and have been going back about every two weeks since! The hamburgers are just plain awesome, the staff is always very friendly, great outdoor seating and a nice open bar area. Overall pretty nice place to hang out, have a drink or take your parents for fish and chips! Which by the way are to die for! :)
Good Food. Poor service.. We were the only ones in the restaurant and we waited almost 20min for them to come by and take our order. Communication problem? I'm not really sure what happened. Everyone's got a fake smile on though. The food was good, but was it really worth it? Not sure.
Cool Place. Love this place! Love the beer, atmospher, location, and live music. The price is not bad at all, food is pretty good too! One of my favorite places to go!
Nice Resturant. First thing you'll notice is that its more of a resturant then pub. However, it has a nice atmosphere, good beer selection, and good live music. The food is ok, and consists more of standard American fare than traditional Irish, but still is not bad. A fine place to visit and grab a pint, but on the pricey side.
Great Irish restaurant. I have been to Sine's for both lunch and dinner and have found the food, service and atmosphere very enjoyable. For those who think this isn't an Irish pub and the food not Irish do not know what they are talking about. The Church Hill Chicken, Corned Beef and Cabbage (Irish), Shepard's Pie (again Irish) and Fish and Chips are delicious. The Irish antiques and furnishings are beautiful and unique.
Casually hip, but comfortable, it has one of the best decks in town--perfect for lingering over Irish dishes..
The Scene
If you decide to hit Sine on a weekend night, you'll find yourself surrounded by a sizeable crowd of young professionals looking for a casual evening out on the town. Check out the good beer selection (including several varieties of Guinness). And although Sine's back deck doesn't offer a great view of the Canal Walk itself, you can at least enjoy watching people stroll along on their way. Grab a table on the patio for sun or under the covered deck for shade.
The Food
A popular spot for the weekday lunch crowd, Sine promises a pleasant afternoon in a hip Irish pub. While it isn't the best restaurant in town, you're sure to find a tempting dish simply because they're different. Try the Irish nachos or the shepherd's pie.
