What You'll Find Here – Paperbacks, hardbacks, children's books and a rack full of staff selections. Store owners also keep a rack of overstocked books right outside the front door. – – The System – The store will accept your own paperbacks for trade. Paperbacks taken in trade will cover 1/4 of the cover price, but keep in mind that extremely popular novels may be rejected if the store is overstocked. – – Hint – Bring your reading list, since wandering through the aisles can be overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for.…

rudest, laziest people I have ever experienced in my life. would much rather pay full price for a book than deal with these people

Love this used bookstore folks! The variety and number of books were "coming out of my ears," as I thought of a title or author, "findable" within seconds of initiating the search. Had most or all of books in the various series I searched, if not could keep your name/account in mind as it arrives/appears. Obviously the owner has a love and passion for books, community, and preserving the printed word, reusing and recycling over and over. Half the cost of new is not bad at all. Take advantage of this lil (big) store, and come out to grab some reading to curl up by the fire or heat vent with this winter ;b
Located in strip mall/shopping center, next door to Diamond Billiards, another great establishment, off Midlothian Turnpike near intersection with 288.
- Pros: Much knowledge and adventure to be gained here!
- Cons: Wish it was busier so it stays open! Go people go!
The Details on Book Exchange
One of Richmond's Best:
Nominated for Best Bookstore for its endless selection and helpful staff.
Best Bet:
If you don't want to spend much cash, bring several of your own paperbacks to trade. It's a good idea to bring new releases or paperbacks that aren't mass market—they stand a better chance of being accepted for trade.
What to Avoid:
What shouldn't you bring? Old Stephen King or Dean Koontz novels. Who needs another copy of "Carrie," anyway?
