POOR ATTITUDE, POOR SERVICE – Orderd a mushroom pizza for pickup, got home, it was a pepperoni. No big deal? but I haven't eaten meat for over thirty years, so it was an inedible pie for me. Called Anna herself, told her that she gave me the wrong pie. She herself did realize the mixup, and she told me I could come in the next day and pickup the mushroom pie, but when I did order that and arrived, Anna told me the CORRECT pie would be half price! I am now to pay 150% more than the regular price FOR HER SCREUP?! I don't think so. Anna and her husband told me they "couldn't feed me twice", basically accusing me of eating the Pepperoni pie, then wanting another free pie. I did not eat the wrong pepperoni pie, and she refused to budge in correcting her mistake! VERY, VERY POOR AND NASTY ATTITUDE FROM BOTH ANNA AND HER HUSBAND! I recommend that you AVOID this restaurant, there are too many other options for pizza and fine Italian food, with great and friendly staff in Mechanicsville!! (Posted January, 2011).
Tasty and ample servings of Italian food, salads and pizzas. – My wife and I frequent Anna’s for the tasty and ample servings of Italian food, salads and pizzas. It’s a twenty-mile drive for us but well worth the trip. Anna’s Italian Restaurant is family owned and operated. They, and the wait staff, are friendly and efficient. The available parking, food and prices are very good and the restaurant is easily accessible from Interstate 295.
Best Pizza in Richmond – If you crave New York style pizza, you need to go to Anna's Italian Restaurant. I gave Anna's a rating of five stars based solely on their pizza because it's so good I won't bother getting any other menu item. I took some friends out to Anna's and they raved about the pizza as well. The service is good and the prices are reasonable.
GREAT FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS!!! – This is my families favorite pizza place to go to. The pizza is like NY style, thin and very cheesy, its GREAT! Its one of the only places to go around here to get awesome pizza. The owners are there every night and make you feel very welcome. I have also tried pastas, salads, deserts, ect... all of which were just as great. The bruscetta is very good as well. If you like a pizza thats nothing but crust than this isnt the place for you. If you like pizza that you can actually taste toppings and cheese on, than you will love Annas!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena – Authentic Italian cuisine is served at the restaurant that offers pastas and seafood entrees at reasonable prices.
Yuck! This pie was salty! Yuck! – I was sitting in the car on a friday night waiting on a girlfriend who was shopping next door. I notice people coming and going from Anna's with a black and white pizza box in hand. So I figure "hmmm, maybe I'll give them a try" So we ordered a large pizza for $11.50 one side plain with cheese the other side with pepperoni.
When we got home the pie was thin, I mean thin, very little sauce, a hallow crust edge and it was SALTY! I mean salty. I didn't even bother saving any of it for left over. Sorry never again.
A great place for the family – Great food, prices are low and include many specials, friendly service.
Not as good – It is very dark, the tables were sticky and it smelled like smoke. The food was overpriced and really bad. We had spaghetti and meatballs. We got one meatball and the sauce was bland. We had to wait a long time for a table. The owner was chatting with family members (per the hostess) and just starting at us. I would never go back. For the price - it wasn't worth it.
Bad Anna's – Anna's use to be my favorite restaurant, until they changed cooks over a year ago. Apparently Anna's husband decided to start cooking and the food has been awful ever since. My husband and I tried it a couple of times after the change and it was always the same - BAD! Several of my friends feel the same way and have also quit going. If it wasn't for the high school crowd they'd probably be out of business by now. It's a real shame, because their spagetti and pizza were the best before the change. The worse part is that when I and my friends complained we got the brush off and one time Anna even became angry. Bring back the old cook, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GREAT FAMILY BUSINESS – I have been going to Anna's for years. I have always been made to feel that every one there is special and is part of their family. The food is great, they always try to make the customer happy, no matter what. The service is prompt and the line on Thursday, Friday and Saturday moves fast. I have never waited for a table more than 8 minutes. Every one is welcome! The best pizza in richmond if you ask me.
