Totally disgusting!. I completely agree! Ever since the new owners-James and his wife-bought the place it has gone DOWN hill. The main reason to go there was to see The Wrest and they got rid of them and they continue to make bad decisions. Sharky's has become a trashy and even more disgusting place! The food and smoke is HORRIBLE along with the rest of the joint. It's like they are catering to the street walkers and their friends and every other redneck. Do yourself a favor and stay away! I'm just happy The Wrest has a new home - Bar Louie which is smoke-free ! Tons of room for LOTS of people! I will NEVER step foot in that awful, smoky, disgusting and trashy place! RIP Sharky's!…
Disgusting Place.
Have been a regular here since the doors opened. Unfortunately the place has deteriorated so much it is time to close this place. The owner (James) uses the place as his personal pick up bar
looking for any woman he can find. The service is terrible, the drinks are watered down, and the food is disgusting. The entire place is dirty and smoky. The help look like street thugs from Gilpin Court.
The ONLY reason anyone had to go was to hear the Wrest on Wednesdays and Fridays, but unfortunately they are no longer there (probably another bright decision by James).
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are so many other options in the west end that are MUCH better than anything this place has to offer.…
ON THE DECLINE. I have been a regular at Sharky's for several years, and I have to say my trips there are becoming less-frequent. Many years ago, this place was a great place to go to unwind. The drinks were good, the waitstaff was attentive and the band was amazing! My friends and I would spend many nights a week in there dancing and drinking the night away. However, now things have changed, and not for the good. The drinks are weak (and expensive) and the waitstaff always seems to be too busy to be attentive to your needs. Add to that the unbelievably smoky atmosphere, awful bathroom facilities, and bad food, and they have created a recipe for disaster. The only good thing about Sharky's anymore is the band. The Wrest rocks it out of the park! Honestly, if it weren't for them, I might never go to Sharky's.…
terrible experience with the bouncer/bartender. I went with a out of town guest who didn't have an ID on him at the time. I as wondering if we could still use the pool table without the guest drinking. The bouncer who was also the bartender was rude from get go and in response to my question started using cuss words. If he was a little less provocative we would have gone back with an ID since I live only a couple of mins from this place. Needless to say we left and we are never going back.…
