The Scene – Like everywhere that specializes in steak, burnished wood paneling dominates the feel. The large fireplace lends that special cozy ambiance in the winter. The romance factor is high for a place with Santas on the walls. The fireplace adds charm, plus the decor is full of kitschy little touches like stuffed polar bears. – – The Food – A real meat-and-potatoes place known for the steaks, seafood and Italian fare. Sounds odd, doesn't it? Don't worry--the food is delicious and the atmosphere is rich. The steaks are huge, most weigh over 16 ounces.

Tucked away in a little corner of Goochland County, in the Big City of Crozier, is an outstanding eating establishment called The North Pole. Its atmosphere is unequalled for its quaintness and eclectic furnishings. They have the best steaks in Richmond and the soft-shelled crabs are in season, theirs are the best I've eaten in Richmond. The salads, appetizers, etc. are great and the wine list is short and sweet, but has excellent wines(the Cabaret is even served at the right temperature!).
Service is good, and it is quite an enjoyable experience to dine at The North Pole. Try it!

Great Food, great people, great neighbors

We moved to Crozier about 8 years ago in a snow storm, we tried the North Pole and have been devoted fans ever since. The steaks are by far the best I have ever had, far beyond the Ruth Chris and other over priced chains. The seafood is wonderful and don't miss the homemade spaghetti!
The owner (for 29 or 30 years) & his staff at "The Pole" have become our friends and this is the perfect place for a casual meal or for a formal party or occasion.
Everything is fresh and the ribeyes (my favorite) are cut fresh when you order them and cooked perfectly to your order.
Don't miss the opportunity to get the best food in all of the Richmond area and enjoy a night in beautiful Goochland County just out route 6 in the Village of Crozier.
