Ed's Marine Superstore has bait and switched me. They are the worst buying experience of my life. The salesman David Bishop lied about what was included and his manager are behind him 100%. This place is a scam. They bait you will a low price and lie about what is included. Then when you pick up our purchase the change the deal. Their customer service is to tell you too bad that's the way it is. Do not do business with this company you will be very sorry as anyone else is worth more money than to deal with these crooks. After they scam you you will not be saving money anyway. Furthermore their work is so bad that it is un-safe and when shown the poor work their management does not care! Feel free to contact me with more details as I want to help anyone avoid them at any cost.

Pros: Has a large inventory

Cons: BAIT AND SWITCH, Customer service is awful SAY FAR AWAY

I ordered a boat from Ed's over six weeks ago and have been misled continously. The boat I originally ordered arrived with unwanted "extras" that the salesman, David Bishop, said the manufacturer screwed up and I either paid for the extras at a "discounted" rate or I would have to wait for another boat to be made. He would not budge and kept telling me that he had to make a profit. I asked to speak to the owner and finally got a guy who said, "We're a corportation and I'm the manager. This is as far as you can go." As it turns out, I was speaking to the owner Marc Godbolt. He didn't have the guts to admit he owned the place. I received the same runaround and got absolutely nowhere other than hearing them both telling me the manufacturer screws up like this all the time and we have no choice. I asked for someone to speak to at the manufacturer (Carolina Skiff) and was told by Mr. Godbolt that they are a wholesale manufacturer and won't talk to someone like me. I attempted to contact Carolina Skiff and had no problem getting in touch with the folks there. I explained my story and relayed exactly what transpired and the information I received from Carolina Skiff completely contradicts what I was told by Mr. Bishop and Mr. Godbolt. To date, Ed's Marine has no idea where the boat is much less when it might arrive. They continued to blame Carolina Skiff until I let them know what I found out. Still, however, their attitude is that I'll get it whenever it gets in and it's out of their hands. This is far from over. I just wish I had gone online and checked them out before giving them a $2000 deposit on a $39,000 boat. There are 23 complaints against them with the 3B's in the last three years and a website, www.sportfishermen.c** has a whole thread dedicated to issues people have had with this business. I would just like for people to check them out prior to signing anything. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!

Pros: Good selection

Cons: Awful customer service, attitude. Bait and switch is a good description
